Under the bridge

July 26, 2012 3 Comments

I’ve wanted to get out in the great outdoors with my pro lights for quite some time. Finally the rain held off and my roommate was able to spend a bit of time with me taking some photos.

Jarrod loves his bodybuilding and fitness; if he isn’t training he is cooking! (Usually egg whites) Unfortunately nothing like masterchef. We originally planned for this to be in a completely different location but his gf’s keys got stolen from a nearby location (JERKS). We headed north and I instantly thought this location could be really cool but was a little worried about the sun in the sky. I shot this at f10 to try and keep the buildings in focus and to also help reduce the brightness of the sky.

I used 2x Paul C.Buff Einstein strobes for this shot, one to the camera left high and into a beauty dish, and one bare and to the right of the model. The Einstein’s triggered with my pocket wizards plus two’s and also the pocket wizard mini. The best thing about these things is they will always fire and will never fail on you. I originally had cheap ebay triggers and it really made me look like an amateur when dealing with the models. Having the reliability of the pocket wizards made it a lot easier to engage with the model.

If you’re into fitness and are looking for some photos to show of your lean physique then shoot me an email and we can organise something.

Yeah, fair enough.I guess my point can be bnelded with yours I’m looking for something different each time I drink a coffee (or a distinctive that can be returned to after time) and perhaps I need to think of a blend as one of those something differents rather than as a sum of its parts does that make sense? The reason I steer away from blends is that I’d rather try/appreciate each of the origins in the blend individually. Maybe I need to start trusting the people who are coming up with the blends to be offering me something new and different. Thanks for getting me thinking on this that’s a bit revolutionary I will say that I’ve spoken to some of the roasters at the big end of town and they talk about blends needing 8 or 9 varieties which I think becomes a bit ridiculous, fairly untraceable, and pretty worthless as an educational experience. So is it possible that your blending philosophy is more art than science and not necessarily repeatable across the board?

you can’t blog about your terrible eercpienxe just because your tour is sponsored by Shag’s radio station? Don’t worry guys I’m from Sydney and know Shag and his ‘backhanded compliments’ are usually pretty offensive. It’s funny how socially awkward people can be on the radio.Kathryn.

Three piece stretched canvas

Our three piece stretched canvas (also called triptych) is a popular option of the interior designers. Using the rule of thirds the canvas is broken into three pieces giving it a fresh look with a difference.
