Surfers paradise Walk alone Photographs of the ocean

September 20, 2013 3 Comments

So over the last 6 weeks I have had a focus on my ocean art and surf photography from the Gold coast area. Today I’m going to show case some of my seascapes and ocean images from the beach and in particular from Broadbeach and surfers paradise which are both very popular tourists destinations.

Walk alone – In the early hours of the morning I set foot on the cold winter sand of Broadbeach, just up from the surf club and just south from the popular Surfers paradise. The weather was a little cloudy and cold but no matter the weather you will always come across the avid sunrise walkers who enjoy the walk along the beach relishing the sunrise and the waves that slowly move towards high rise buildings.

Fine art photography gold coast ocean images gallery and cafe. Ocean images. Black and white

Many Australian photographers often don’t appreciate what is at our door step. We live in one of the most beautiful destinations in the world with some of the best beaches I have ever seen. National geographic also rated Fraser island in the “top 10 beaches” in the world. Surfers paradise is just south of Fraser island and the high rise cityscape along the beach makes for beautiful photography, not to mention most of the year the perfect temperatures.

This photograph captures the Gold Coast ocean lifestyle, the early morning walks, a tranquillity in a place filled with people which can be found at the right time of day, SUNRISE. Just a 5 minute walk down the road you will find this exact image hanging in “Gold coast images gallery & café” in Broadbeach. You can purchase loads of photographs of the ocean and fine art canvases from this gallery and this Gold Coast Art gallery showcases not one photographer but several artists from the Gold Coast.

On that note here is a quick look inside the café gallery, head on down and check them out as the prints look 100x better in person, the detail in a print is by far superior than the internet or Facebook has to offer.

You’ve got the basics right. It is an egnnie with an alternator attached. The alternator in your car is a small unit with diodes which convert the voltage from AC to DC to charge the battery. A generator which will power a house is considerably larger and doesn’t convert the voltage to DC. Power plants which produce enough to run a town also use generators, huge generators.

Kits for those are available. These are very hard to make. They look easy, but they are not. Basically, there are 2 coundctors with a hollow insulating pipe in between. The bottom conductor is grounded to earth (usually through the AC power cord ground lead). The top conductor should be a smooth-surfaced dome.A felt band is run from the bottom to the top through the pipe. As the felt runs over the bottom pulley (made of a particular hard rubber), static charges separate from the friction and travel up the belt, where little conductive wire fingers pick up the charge and deposit it onto the dome. THe top pulley should be made of a different material that does not produce static when the felt belt runs over it (felt-lined wood or something). At the base, the rubber bearing and axle are attached to earth ground. The tricky part is getting the proper materials (pulley and belt), and the proper spacing for the pick-up-fingers at the top. It’s hard to get it all properly aligned, and setup that’s why a kit is a better choice..

Hi Daphne, there are many great pool sessions for imnorvipg surfing, paddling and lung capacity. In my training programs and products I always include these types of tips. For now, try this: Wall push offs for power, hold your breath and kick underwater, surface and breath once then swim as fast and as far as you can recover and repeat 5 10 x. Add this into your swim training to help with surf specific training. Enjoy! I will make a video for you soon. HR D Man

realised the other day it had been a long long time (maybe even over a year) since I left the camera at home and just went out and surfing, not worrying about anything else apart from the waves, the ocean and that feeling of getting a wave with mates. STOKE.

Fast forward 6 hours and my alarm goes off, I stumble and drop my phone on the wall and manage to fall out of bed trying to turn it off. I hit the snooze button whilst I notice my partner being woken. I head back to sleep thinking I won't head down the beach.

Premium acrylic face mount

If you're after a show stopping look for your beautiful home, then look no further than this incredible medium which will absolutely knock your socks off. Our premium acrylic face mount prints are top of the line and will blow you away. This stunning medium is by far the most sort after with it's dynamic look and high definition feel my images look like they're wet and life like. The process is extraordinary with the image printed on the highest quality metallic pearl fine art paper and then applied to a 4.5mm thick polished sheet of acrylic, finished with Dibond aluminium composite panel on the back.

Our mounting system is also a beautiful in design itself, with no visible mounting brackets the photograph looks like it is floating off the wall. This is achieved by using the Z-bar hanging system which is screwed into the wall and the acrylic locked into place.

Canvas Prints

Our high quality 400gsm fine art canvas offers a fine structure & a premium bright white inkjet coating for amazing reproduction of art and photography. Combine this with genuine ultrachrome inks of professional Epson printers & you have a canvas print with longevity of 100+ years. Each canvas is then sprayed with a liquid laminate, which not only enhances colour but also protects against UV fading, dust, minor scratches & water. Then expertly gallery wrapped over a stretcher bar made from quality Australian pine & finished with a tape seal backing & plastic coated hanging wire.

What's the difference between a "stretched canvas" and a "rolled canvas" you ask? The stretched canvas is ready to hang on your wall, expertly wrapped and finished with a beautiful backing and gallery hanging wire. The rolled canvas comes in a canister and is best suited for overseas transit or for a special project you might have in mind.
