So what are some of my favourite beach prints? Today I showcase my top 5 beach prints and popular wall art pieces from documenting the beach lifestyle on the Gold Coast over the past 10 years. I know right, 10 years is a long time and I've watched the beaches change as the developments and weather change.
First off? What makes a great beach print? Often aerial prints from around the Gold Coast help bring a beautiful vista of what lies beneath. Creating an abstract and unique view, something completely different from the standard photographs from the ground. These unique aerial photographs are often great, bringing a much realisation of what the viewer is looking once they have stopped and stared at the piece for long enough.
Colour palettes are also important, I think the main reason so many people in Australia love the beach is simply because of the colours the ocean and bright sun brings. Our sand is fine and our beaches are pristine with a beautiful turquoise colour in the ocean. Think every colour of blue under the sun and pastels. Light, vibrant images work great with coastal home.
Mix these colours with a stunning oak frame and white matt board, or even a crisp white frame and all these prints will sit well in a coastal-inspired room.
This wall art print is a funny capture taken on the Gold Coast. I feel it's almost the quintessential meaning of beach life on the Gold Coast. I remember growing up and heading to the beach with my family on a windy summers day, the sand flicking up on my face and then heading for a surf in the beautiful ocean.
