Just a quick little blog post today. It’s been several weeks since my last update and I thought I best keep the forthers frothing! I will be getting a bunch of prints done over the coming days. All shapes and sizes but I will most likely be staying clear from the metallic papers. As good as the metallic prints look they’re a little tricky to frame and require more time, (something I don’t have much of at the moment) On top of all that I will be releasing some new photos to the website. If you’re looking for a print and you aren’t too sure on what size you’re wanting I would recommend a 12x18 inch print that is then framed. The size isn’t too big and not too small. However if you’re wanting something that will be a feature on your wall I can certainly accommodate that. Here is my "piste de resistance" from my Hawaiian trip. No it’s not a wave. But it’s by far my favourite shot. Technically I can’t fault it, the sun is perfecttly position on the horizon and the water is beautifully smoked over the rocks. The best thing about this photo is the location. This was directly out the front of our house, literally less than 60meteres away. This particular sunset was a tough one to capture, it started to rain just as the sun was going down, I had taken about 10 shots before it started pouring down and I had to run inside. Further to this here is a sample of all the new photos that have been uploaded to my site. Imagine Capture Inspire is our motto

It’s been two weeks since returning from the beautiful Island of Oahu and I haven’t made a blog post since. My apologise…. I’ve been having some technical difficulties with my main computer, currently awaiting to hear back from the manufacturer of my screen, hopefully it gets fixed soon because I have a heap of photo’s I’m eager to show you. I’ve decided to do a quick little edit from one of the shots in Pupukea Hawaii. This was an amazing sunset for me. I was a little nervous with the location as I was shooting on top of sharp volcanic rocks whilst waves crash to the left, right and in front of me. I shot this with my Canon 7D and a 10-22mm lens, lee filters and a remote to hold the shutter speed for 60 seconds. The little mark up the top left is a star. The scene was literally dark when taking this photo and the only reason I stopped was because I had to try and navigate my way through 80 metres of volcanic rock without a torch. Here is one of my good friend who is training to compete in his first year of a body sculpting competition. Working in a gym with not much room made things a little trickier than expected. I shot this with my Canon 7D, 2x Einstein strobe lights one in with a beauty dish as the main light and the other is bare as a rim light. The rim light helps separate the background from the models head. More of these to follow.

Hawaii has been an incredible journey and an amazing experience. It’s been a real eye opener to see the skill level of wave riding on the North shore. We have 1 more day left on the island The waves and people have been dakine bra and it makes me want to get out and travel the world more and most definitely stop here again. I really wish I had organised my own car instead of using my mates, not that it hasn’t been great travelling with friends to certain locations but I’m the type of person that has a vision in his head and would drive to locations at specific times. Here is a shot I’ve been holding onto for some time waiting to get a portrait shot of Shaun Petersen. Shaun is one of the great fellas that have been staying in my house over the last 3 weeks. And on another note a few of my Facebook readers would’ve noticed I have created a new tab on my website called “downloads”. This is where all the free content it for you guys and girls to download. Over time I’m hoping I have a good collection of free pictures for your desktop and I hope you can daydream whilst you’re grinding away in the office. You will note I have created a donation button that links to my paypal account. If you want to donate some money for the use of the photo then please do. I value everyone’s support but I won’t be able to continue to supply downloadable content without your help.
