What an amazing weekend it was for snorkeling, diving, shooting and spear fishing. I was lucky enough to be in the right spot at the right time over the weekend as I was heading up to Coolumn for a bucks party and point Arkwright was just done the corner, less than 3 minutes away. It was good seeing a fe other spearfisherman suiting up and ready to go out especially as I was by myself and had no idea on where I had to go. I personally hung around near the rocks as I found there was a heap of sea life swimming around.
I haven't been to point Arkwright in over 8 years but I will certainly be heading back again soon. All year round the weather is pretty warm and doesn't ever get uncomfortable which is a plus for swimming and snorkeling. You will get days like Saturday where it was just perfect.
