With everyday life tending to get in the way it's easy to make something so insignificant seem bigger than what it should be. Stress, anxiety and the everyday grind can be overwhelming. I used to go surfing, shoot the water and enjoy spending time with friends and family and this is how I would rejuvenate for another week of work. However, when things get busy it's often easy to forget to take that time out to enjoy life.
I realised the other day it had been a long long time (maybe even over a year) since I left the camera at home and just went out and surfing, not worrying about anything else apart from the waves, the ocean and that feeling of getting a wave with mates. STOKE. I thought to myself "I need to do this more often" after all this is the reason I picked up my camera in the first place.
So, what do you do to relax?
This image was captured at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast. Known for an epic point break and when it's on, it's on. Sunrise gives a beautiful glow to the image that casts golden light across the rocks.
You will find some beautiful boutique shops just around the corner, awesome acai bowls and the new Rip Curl store. This is surely an image that will be placed in my Gold Coast Gallery collection. Keep your eyes out for more.
